Free from torment at last! I have taken all exams and the finals are the only things to worry. I am thankful, though, that all my exams were just as easy as I thought (excluding you, Math 17). One thing is for sure; that I should focus on my English 2 research paper now that the exams are out of the way.

In reference to that, I still haven’t finished my topic outline which is due on Friday. Since discovering THAT website, I haven’t focused in a single bit about anything else. It’s a website where I download high-def episodes of my favorite shows. Didn’t bother naming the site, I can only say it in a need-to-know basis… and only a select few know about the existence of said website. Staying on topic, THAT outline must be done by tomorrow night… or I’ll be dead! I don’t want to suffer on my favorite subject, heh.

As I’ve already said, all my exams (as of now) are done, but I expected nothing short of a perfect “rest period” And as I perceived, my instincts told me something different is gonna happen after all the commotion. Unfortunately, they were right. There appears to be a list of students posted at the bulletin boards in some colleges of UPLB that I don’t have classes in. I am in that list. Those in the list should go to the guidance office in S.U. (Student Union). My high school schoolmate-slash-classmate-slash-friend informed me of this sickening news in our Math 17 class just a while ago. Good thing she’s in the list too.

After classes, my friend and I decided to confront the looming “danger” we thought was coming. I was afraid that it was something about our plummeting academics, yet I hoped it was some “financial guidance,” as I’ve said to her. No matter, instincts were correct yet again. We filled up a form about our “bad study habits” and somehow, it appeared like a contract to me. Something like this was written at the bottom, “I, [name], a [year], of [course] fully promises to our dear counselor [name of counselor], that I [academic promise], specifically [specific promise]” In specific promises, I wrote four phrases: not to sleep in class, focus harder on academics, allot more time in studying, and avoid excessive absences. Riiiiggghhhttt. Got it. On it. :p Screw you, Math 17. Luckily, they aren’t sending this to the ‘rents.

But today wasn’t just a day of bad news. Good news appears to stabilize the tense atmosphere around here. Actually, when I heard the news, I got giddy all over. Manix Abrera, the creator of Kikomachine Komix, is attending a program on Monday as a speaker… together with his father, Jess Abrera, the creator of GuyitoInquirer’s mascot. The program is called Kilatisin si Juan or it goes something like that, but it doesn’t matter to me because all I need is Manix’s autograph! Mwahahaha >:)

I didn’t notice that my first post here was published at 1/11/11 and at exactly 11:11AM. It goes to show how our attention is now focused to the digital realm of the world’s topside. Hell week’s a-comin’, pro’lly it’s because the UPLB Feb Fair is just looming around the corner. Deadlines set over here and there, English 2 is just about to get worse than ever, from preliminary exams to midterms to final exams. Yep, definitely a sign that second semester is about to take its final bow, and summer vacation steps in *whoop whoop*

Exams and quizzes, papers and deadlines: they’re plaguing my mind like hell and are preparing for some rude awakening. I dunno, but I think somehow I managed to solve some of them whenever my plans are cancelled or if I plainly depend on luck. Tomorrow, we will have our Natural Science 6 mid-term examination. That’ll be the last mid-term exam I will have… tsk, the signs of the delayed, meh… who cares? My next batch of exams would be around March.

Since high school, I can’t really focus on reviewing… I dunno if it’s because I’m easily distracted or I have a mild case of dyslexia. Even if I review a few days before an exam, my memory will be slated of all the things I’ve reviewed. Studying was only for naught – what a waste. This is why I only study a few hours or the night before an exam. I can’t begin to fathom a new study habit to get myself out of this situation. I hate to deal with this kind “anomaly,” usually because it just makes my head ache. People make it a point, though, that I’m “just lazy” and that I won’t admit it :p

Wish me luck on my exam tomorrow :) I’d appreciate it. Oh, and by the way, the layout might stay like this for a while. Comments are somehow disabled. I don’t trust Cboxes. Some readers will take advantage of their anonymity.

First of all, this isn’t some two-bit novel you think I’m trying to develop. It is clearly and simply a blog. The awkward name is a poor alliteration of my nickname and some random thing I thought up to go with it – and aren’t snowmen adorable? If you think about it, it’d be nice if it were snowing here in this god-damned Philippines; there would be snowball fights and building of snow forts, embedding snow angels on the ground, and of course creating a snowman… I know you want those too :p

This is not the point, however. I am merely welcoming you to my new blog! It has been a while since I last posted something about my day, someone OR something I love, the hysteria I have had experienced, my inadvertent angst against someone OR something, my inner crazy fanboy showing, and ruckus I’ve cooked up. On the other hand, this is a timely activity since I am currently enrolled in English 2. Basically this gives me practice on my writing given that I felt I’ve just deteriorated my grammar and vocabulary since quitting blogging.

I do hope my next update would be soon. Midterms are just around the corner, actually, and the second semester is about to end soon as well; meaning English 2 is gone too… well, maybe this blog isn’t that timely as I thought. Oh, well, at least I’ve returned to blogging! :D Hey, since you’re here, please feel free to comment. Although all comments are moderated, don’t worry I read them and maybe I’ll put your suggestions into consideration :)

PS: I AM developing two new novels, so if you have time, please watch out for it :p LOL Not sure when or where I’ll share it. Maybe you’ll see it in the bookstores soon enough *insert evil laugh here* Just kidding. But please, do so wait for it :) You’ll be pleasantly surprised *insert evil laugh here*… seriously.
